The Instructor Training is a ten day course, the first weekend gives you the foundations/structure of teaching Kinesiology classes, what is needed to be an effective tutor, guidelines and help to set up your courses and presentation skills. Each student needs to plan two presentations, one being a muscle explanation, demonstration and the other being a specialized technique to explain and demonstrate to the group. This is a very important part of the course and students get huge benefit from these training sessions in a safe and caring environment.
The next eight days will be taking the Foundation course as an instructor trainer, prospective tutors need to cement their foundation knowledge, take teacher training notes as to how the material is being taught as opposed to learning new information. Students also benefit personally by re-visiting the basics and getting excited about Kinesiology all over again, although this time with a view to teaching it and sharing it with others.
Each student is required to present one technique on each day which totals 8 presentations during the training, this will be to a class of new students as if it were 'their course'. The tutor will support you and offer feedback with any constructive suggestions if they are needed. To be a good effective tutor we need to know the material inside out, back to front and upside down -'knowing' the information is very different to teaching it, this course will equip you to teach your own Foundation course.
The price of the ten day course is £1950 this includes full class manual, the T.A.S.K Foundation course syllabus (the step by step teaching guide to each and every day of the four weekends) and copies the course handouts available for your potential students. Upon completion you will be issued with an Instructor Training Certificate which enables you to be a Registered Foundation Course Tutor, and teach your own Balanced Health classes with the support of T.A.S.K's teaching aids. The class will be taught by Claire Moffat. DIP. A.K.
